Just off the plane...
Hi, it's my day for a blog but just off a flight from Australia back home to Europe this morning, so I honestly can't think of a wedding topic.
Trying to readjust to time zones, I'm staying awake watching one flick after another with my son, who fortunately (for him as well as me, the girls love knowing a guy who'll watch girly films without making fun of them!) likes chick flicks and is always ready to watch anything. So I put on A Walk in The Clouds which has to be one of the most romantic movies I know. I love the Mexican theme, the settings, the war hero suffering recurring nightmares, the funny grandfather, the notions of honor and love unspoken, both by the father and the hero, and the generational wedding-night bed, the dancing in the wine vat, the butterfly wings putting heat on threatened grapes - and finding a family. It has visual beauty, romance, sadness and strength. I'm so glad I revisited a favourite of mine.
What's your favourite romantic movie?

Thanks for reminding me of A Walk in The Clouds. It had beautiful visuals as well. *sigh* You're so lucky your son will sit down and watch chick flicks with you. With a karate family big on action flicks, I've learned to satisfy my romance fix with the snippets at the end. However, the calibre of the romance tends to be hit-or-miss. :) One of my family's favourite movies is A Princess Bride, but that one is tied up with special memories of my dear hubby reading the story to me when we first lived together. :)
I've missed stopping by here. Provided I survive my final black belt grading on Sunday *g*, I plan to visit The Wedding Planners blog more often. :)
Wishing you all the best!
Gail :)

I love that movie and had totally forgotten about it. Thank you for reminding me of it (lately I've been on the lookout for some good romantic movies. Must be the time of the year).
Gail, welcome back!

I like my romance with a side of comedy, so While you Were Sleeping and My Big Fat Greek Wedding are two of my favorite. *G* Roxanne is another.

Hope you get your black belt, Gail, and thanks for stopping by!
Myrna, I got the movie on special in Australia while there and as soon as I saw it had to buy it. I'm slowly collecting faves. I love your choices too, Brandy, and have them already. I also love The Princess Bride, Harold and Maude (okay, not quite a romance but I still love it), and looking for my fave classic, You Can't Take It With You.
I always watch my fave romantic movies when tired or flat, for inspiration. When do you watch them?
