Last week the RNA (the Romantic Novelists' Association) voted Richard Armitage the Sexiest Thing on Two Legs, and someone posted a video on YouTube of some of his most romantic moments:
Lots of touching scenes there. I'm not really familiar with this actor (although I'd love to see the entire shows some of those clips came from). Well, I've certainly been missing out, I think. I'm off to find a copy of North and South. I've seen a couple of episodes of The Vicar of Dibley (it used to be on public television here--I liked it, but never remembered when it was on). So, I totally missed out on catching a glimpse of Richard Armitage. I definitely have to go check out the DVDs.
North & South is really great, John Thornton is just so awesome! Richard Armitage is one of the best actors ever, and no not just because of his good looks.
I'd rate him over Sean Connery, and David Tennant, Fred Astaire, Telly Savalas, Clint Eastwood, Humphrey Bogart, and every other big name to hit the screen. Because anyone who works like that, and takes such complicated roles, and makes them what they are, deserves such recognition. Aside from that he's a really great-looking guy (horrible understatement) with a good sense of humour, who deserves that. The big brother I wish I could have.
