It's Finally August!

By now you know me as the author of book five of the Wedding Planners Continuity Series for Harlequin Romance.

My book MILLIONAIRE DAD, NANNY NEEDED! will be released on August 12! I'm very excited about this but also excited to host this month's blog entries.

Because my heroine, Audra, is the Wedding Belles' accountant, I've found some people to talk about the financial implications of various kinds of weddings. Even if you aren't planning a wedding, each has a great story to tell. Deb was married at Disney World. Lorraine's two daughters had at-home weddings. Denise's daughter had a genuine "shot gun" wedding.

I also hope to have an accountant answer a few questions about how to create a budget. He's a bit busy right now, but if he can't get away to help us, there are several great books available.

August will be a great month! I hope you'll join us.

I can't wait to read it, Susan! Having seen Audra's story start (with that awful disaster of being left at the altar) in my book, finally seeing her get her HEA in your book will be AWESOME!

I was lucky enough to get this book ahead of time by ordering on eharlequin.com. Shirley, I felt the way you did, that HEA was a long time coming!

Loved the book, a great next read in the series. Wanted to throw out that the parents of the groom need to plan a budget as well. We didn't realize how expensive it could be just to pay for the groom's obligations. We had put aside money for our daughter's wedding whenever that may be but not for our son. Fortunately he had money for the engagement ring!!!

Peace, Julie

Thanks for that tip, Julie! I have a daughter and a son, and hadn't even thought about needing money for him, when it comes to his wedding. Fortunately, he's only 10, so I have a LONG time until he gets married, LOL.

Hi Gang!

I'm in internet hell right now. Having switched to DSL last Monday. Oy. Don't get me started.

But I'm here. LOL

And I agree about the groom's parents! My older sister was the mother of the groom and as I tagged along with her on shopping trips and trips to the reception hall I realized that a few dollars here or there for "extras" really added up!

I'm hoping to have her stop by and give us a word on money for the groom's parents!
